When I was little and life
was just a game.
I knew faith.
Faith in mankind,
faith in myself,
and faith in some
man I never knew.
In those days, when skies
were blue,
temperatures were cool
and live was everlasting,
I knew only the four walls around me
the game system before me,
and friends I created to keep me
company.
When I had no idea how cruel
humanity was,
How little self esteem I had,
and that the man I never knew was
never watching my back as he so
favored others.
I had faith.
I had faith in my family,
faith in my fellow man,
faith in the future,
faith in who I once could have been.
